Pitta is the dosha of fire. This dude is just like the movie, “The transformers”, he does just that. Direct, to the point, powerful, clear thinking and we need every bit of this energy to shift gear, create strong focus and bring us to the right direction. Little remedies for Pitta subdoshas will come in another post…for now this is plenty for your Pitta to digest!
If you would love to delve further into your own dosha balance or imbalance, and are not sure where to start, contact Kelly @ 086 1778369 or email me at Kelly@YogaAyurvedaliving.com
⭐ Imbalance presenting: Confusion, greed, mistrust or not able to recognise reality vs imagination
Sadhaka pitta gives the ability to digest thoughts and sensory information. So this bad boy can drive us to distraction, but more importantly, he can lead us to bliss. All three brain/mind/senses subdoshas of Vata, Pitta, Kapha, all are inward moving. Sensory information moves inward, and Sadhaka digests and transforms this info with the fire of perception and discernment. How we see our world is often how we feel in it too.
⭐ Imbalance presenting: Liver imbalances, weak digestion, low desire to live in truth and light, eye diseases or problems.
Alochaka pitta gives the ability to digest light and perceive visual stimulation through the pupils. Like Udana vayu, it is an upward pulsation that helps us continue to seek the light of knowledge and understanding and right living.
⭐ Imbalance presenting: Circulation is a bit off and on, digestion doesn’t always work properly or if it does it works hot and spicy!
Pachaka Pitta is in the small intestines, and it is the headquarters site of the Pitta dosha. This part of Pitta that governs and supports the other four subdoshas. It mainly works like Samana vayu energy, with a balancing action. It is responsible for digesting the good stuff and throwing out what does not serve the body. This pitta subdosha is the first stop when there is a pitta imbalance. It is closely related to our digestive fire, and if pitta is sick, our digestive power is unbalanced too(and this does not help anything!)
⭐ Imbalance presenting: Skin rashes or discolouration’s and other skin problems.
Bhrajaka Pitta is the fire the governs our skin complexion. What does that mean? What we see on each person’s face, and their skin over all, this is the complexion and it helps us identify doshas. Of course it’s not just for our pretty face and softness of skin. Bhrajaka Pitta digests heat, warmth and sunlight through the skin. It will cool pitta down through sweating or help heat us up through circulation and outward vibrational energy. We can judge our body heat balance or imbalance through Brajaka pitta.
⭐ Imbalance presenting: Overheating in the digestive organs and the blood will feel more like excess heat in the body.
Ranjaka pitta is the pitta subdoshas for the gift of colour to life. It is to do with our blood’s colour and vitality. It mainly governs blood and the blood infused organs; liver, spleen, stomach. It gives colour to our blood, stool and bile (helps us identify problems with doshas!) It has a downward energy like Apana vayu, and of course this is logical, because we are digesting and hopefully removing the pitta toxins if we are in balance. However Pitta in accumulation increases colours and smells of our mala/our waste products…like our wee and poo. Yikes!
⭐ What do I do with this information? So this information is invaluable if you take your time with it. Over the next few months I will try to help increase your ability to use the subdoshas to help with your own diagnosis and healing.
For all Pitta subdoshas malfunctions I prefer us to start with the mind, the hard working, always goal orientated mind.
