Lovely news! Kapha is the support of life and boss of our immunity! Kapha gives compassion and leans towards fear if disrupted.
Steady and calm Kapha dosha is showing up as dominant within you today!
Kapha is all about uniting the community. The love bug of the doshas, it keeps the whole show stable, trying to keep everyone happy.
Kapha is the blend of water and earth, its a gooey state of being, this glue we call phlegm. We need this gooey phlegm to keep us cool in the right places and stave off dryness in other places. Kapha is and essential biological intelligence that is necessary for us to remain stabilised in the body.
Kaphas love the home comforts and they adore cosy evenings, family and friends around for prinks and movies. Kaphas are the keepers of the home, and they, like the earth dont appreciate too much change, travel or movement. In fact they can be quite inert if given a chance to remain still and relax or sleep.
Favour: stimulation and activity of any sort. All are good to activate them, whether it be in body or mind, they need to stay more active, they could put themselves under pressure a little bit more.
This means a good early morning wake up call, like 6am or 6:30am.
A dry and hot environment helps to keep them less clammy. Bright/strong colours, sunshine, vigorous exercise all create a sustainable environment for Kaphas! This gives the optimal chance of full sustainable wellness.
Of course there is a big chance that they will not enjoy these changes if its new to them. In fact they could down right dig their heels and say nope. Nope. Nope. What does help is a good strong coach to keep them motivated!!
Food, light, heating, drying. Favour spicy, bitter and astringent tasting foods, plenty of vegetables.
Avoid sweet sour, salty, heavy, greasy foods especially dairy produce. Less liquid is required than other doshas. A balanced vegan diet is good for kapha as long as their digestion is good too.
Take that chance and embrace the outer world beyond the cosiness that keeps you safe. Kaphas could take bigger steps in the day, meet people to enliven their love of life.

Pitta is a blend of fire and water, not an easy blend! But we need this fire power to digest our life and lead us into wellness and health, changing what is necessary.
Not forgetting everyone has all three doshas within us, but understanding which is most dominant can help all three work better. Ayurveda and Yoga know that balance and wellness go together.

Sustain good contact with nature. Create simplicity in your daily life.
Foods: Cooked foods are best.Grounding, unctuous, warm, medium to small meals.
Reduce or remove stimulants, especially sugar, caffeine and tobacco.
Favour food tastes of sour, salty, sweet (neutral like organic grains - sweet does not mean sugar or sugary).
Avoid overly bitter, astringent, spicy, raw foods. Cultivate regularity, reduce extremes in eating habits.
Learn to breathe better from someone you trust will teach you correct breathing for a Vata type.
