The Pitta dosha type constitution from Ayurveda is the dosha balance of fire and water. It is the one who can bring a hobby into a business, milk into butter, be a leader that people can trust and remain goal orientated but with a big heart.
Goodness, already May, 2021!! YIKES! Life is beginning to open again like the blooming flowers, I thought I better get some stuff down for you all to ingest and digest!
May is a time of warming up, Ayurveda and Yoga tell us it means the Pitta dosha type constitution or our hotter body humour will be doing the swagger and pea cocking as soon as it can. So just to prepare you, here are some traits you may see in you, or in others…Ayurveda recommends a herb blend for the pitta dosha type digestion that you can take before meals or during meals depending on you.

Their appetite and elimination are strong, daily and regular.
The Pitta dosha types are inclined towards indigestion of an acidic nature. Indigestion like heartburn, reflux or ulcers and their digestion may be too strong or hot, showing as loose smelly stools.
They may also suffer from skin problems because of the excess heat in their blood. Spicy or acidic or fried foods irritate their digestion easily.
They are the medium build of the doshas and the warmest of all doshas, warm in body and in spirit, they always have warm hands and feet
The Pitta body humour has good strong immunity but suffer from frustration and also overwork. When they get imbalanced this can tip them into burn out and illness like infections and inflammatory diseases arrive.
Their liver and eyes can give trouble because or their excess interal heat.
Their behaviour is best described as warm, fiery, sharp, perceptive, articulate, kind, they tend to have the ability to accomplish projects due to their strong mind and will.
Who wouldn’t want to be a Pitta eh?,…or at the very least have the Pitta dosha type constitution as our best buddy?! But at the same time, their tendency to over do, can be a bit scary sometimes to witness, often leads them into over kill. Unless they have specific practices to curb their over doing nature. (The could really do with the Kapha dosha type constitution persuasive friend!)
The Pitta dosha type constitution digestive aide blend – Take this blend before or during meals one half teaspoon, in a small amount of warm/ room temp water. This is a digestive aid to cool down the pitta dosha types constitution –

DIGESTIVE AID BLEND
1 Tablespoon Cumin
1 Tablespoon Fennel
1 Tablespoon Coriander
1 Tablespoon Turmeric
Pitta Table Gourmet Blend can be used at the table for flavouring and cooling for pitta imbalances. A pitta imbalance should use at least 1/2 teaspoon per meal, sprinkled on top of any or all of the food.
PITTA TABLE TOP GOURMET BLEND
2 Tablespoon fennel seeds
2 Tablespoon coriander seeds
2 Tablespoon cumin seeds
2 Tablespoon dried mint
1 Tablespoon cardamom
1 Tablespoon Turmeric powder
2 teaspoon coconut sugar or such (optional)
1 teaspoon saffron
With all spices, always best to purchase organic, especially if you are beginning to Live your Medicine. I suggest trying the blends with pre ground spices, and if you like the blend, then go ahead and purchase the seeds, purchase a coffee grinder dedicated to herbs grinding, and begin a new journey to digestive help! The closest we can stay to grinding herbs that are not stored in a warehouse too long, the more Prana we receive.
P.S. I always use pre ground cardamom because the faff of shelling the seeds and getting enough ground …but that is just my choice!
