I ask myself this question regularly : What does Yoga have to do with….
…washing dishes, doing the laundry, driving the car,ie., taxi mom on the road again, food shopping, cleaning the floor, getting to the office, conversing with a friend, standing your ground with a contentious person, texting a friend, a stranger, a lover, hugging your child.
Of course the way it has been in the past is that I think of a quick riposte to my inquiry, and leave it at that…now it seems like a good time to go a bit further.
So this is for my inquiry, my purposeful desire to find answers about what I have been doing with Yoga all these years, to see if I can discover some answers as to what Yoga does have to do with almost anything I come across in my life.
Curiously, this inquiry also coincides with my current urge to develop my formal meditation habits and daily (sometimes elusive) practices.
I really want to see if I can discover where Yoga can be in daily life, where is mindfulness unfolding right now, where is meditation in the unspoken presence of a second, minute, an hour or days?
Most teachers say the tools and skills are waiting to be availed of in any given moment.
So here I go, moment to moment, Exhale and smile, its all good.
